Mosaic Interfaith Group
Mosaic is an interfaith group made up of congregations representing Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism and Zoroastrianism. It was founded in 1980, and its philosophy is to learn about each other so that we might live together in peace.

There are two events coming up:

1. Abraham Three Faiths – 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 24 at Temple Har Zion, 7360 Bayview Ave., Thornhill. This is a three-way dialogue between Dr. Liyakat Takim for Islam, Rabbi Stroh for Judaism, and our own Canon John Hill for Christianity, followed by a table discussion and refreshments.

2. Mosaic Annual Peace Meal – 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 7 at the New Jaffari Islamic Centre, 9000 Bathurst St., Thornhill. This is a once-a-year opportunity to share our faiths and our food. The theme this year will be Social Justice and how each of our faiths approaches this subject. The afternoon also has a children’s program.

For further information on these events, please contact Fran Isaacs at thisisfran@yahoo.com.

Summer Services
Sunday, July 4, we will begin our summer schedule. There will be one Worship Service each Sunday at 10:00 AM. The format of the service will alternate between BAS page 185 and BAS page 230. The regular two services will resume on September 12 with 8:00 AM Holy Communion and a 10:30 AM Contemporary Service.

Advisory Board Meeting Change
The next meeting will be September 29 at 7:30 PM at the Rectory. Bishop Patrick Yu will be with us. Please note that the date has changed.

Caribbean Night – October 17, 2010

The Anglican Diocese of Toronto established a Pre-Authorized Givings (PAG) programme to assist you in your support of St. Theodore of Canterbury through an automatic, monthly donation process. It is now being administrated in cooperation with the United Church of Canada and is called the Pre-Authorized Remittance programme.

Over 40 parishes currently participate in the programme.

  • Continual support of St. Theodore of Canterbury when you are away.
  • Continual support of ministries and programs funded through FaithWorks.

Advantages for St. Theodore of Canterbury:
