Mosiac Interfaith

We live in this neighbourhood in the centre of many faiths. The mixture is especially noticeable along the Bayview corridor – just try looking around next time you drive that way. Out of two neighbouring places of worship – one Muslim and one Jewish – came a need to just talk and get to know each other, and so, 30 years ago, Mosaic Interfaith was born. The idea was that by getting to know one another we could live together in peace. The group is made up of congregations from seven different faiths – Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism and Zoroastrianism. Once a year, they gather together for a Peace Meal, but during the year, they visit various different places of worship. For information about upcoming meetings, contact Rev. Claire.
